Why?

We humans tend to overestimate the short-term effects, but underestimate the long-term effects of any new technology. In a world of attention deficit, there is great power in playing the long-term game. I want to work with people that have the perseverance to stick around until we make true impact on society.

5 billion unique users

For 22 years straight, in 10 countries, I immersed myself in one industry. I started with programming mobile data protocols in temporary construction barracks in Sweden (still used in 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G). We then built the biggest tech ecosystem of all time. Towards the end I was heading our network products in Asia, with billions of dollars in yearly sales. Everyone dreams about changing the world. We did it.

8 billion mobile subscriptions, 5 billion unique users, on one inclusive system for the entire world, China included. Everyone uses it. Everyone affords it.
My final achievement was making a real impact on global warming, which won Ericsson’s big award at Mobile World Congress in 2017, an incredible honor.

At that point, I felt my mission in Telecom was done.

Leaving a legacy

I then left Ericsson and started almost 2 years of preparations for LS FUTURE TECHNOLOGY AB. Legacy is a powerful thought. One day, when I am gray and old, rocking my chair on the porch in the sunset, I will tell my grandchildren about Mobile Data and the Green Site, and how those technologies changed the world. But first I want to do more.

The world is facing pressing issues and I see technologies that can solve them, for good. I could have spent the next 25 years riding comfortably on past achievements, but I read a quote once that stuck with me:

“When you see a chance to change the world, get up and get it done.”

=> So I am immersing myself in these technologies.

Am I an expert? In any new technology, I believe there are no experts. We are all beginners together. I can make unique contributions in specific areas where I can draw on 20+ years of experience in creating global tech ecosystems with billions of users, because in that I am an expert.

Investment Network

We are also moving quickly towards a world of infinite leverage. Through investment networks, one person can achieve almost infinite impact, with no other resources than his or her mind.

=> So I am building an investment network (see Larsson Line).

Key Opinion Leader (KOL)

“Influencers” are gaining power, a fact that has not escaped anyone, but I believe that we have only seen the very tip of this iceberg. In the future, I think that global Key Opinion Leaders, KOLs, can get country presidents elected or overthrown.

KOLs will become central to all business. Having a trusted voice is necessary.

=> So I am building a social media presence.

I don’t have all the answers myself, but the network we are building can move the world. A friend who is a medical doctor once told me “It’s not what you eat between Christmas and New Year that makes you fat, it’s what you eat between New Year and Christmas.” In a business context, that means: Small daily steps, taken over long periods of time, takes us an astonishing distance.
